Sepia Tones and Citrine Stitches
This light brown linen pocket square with pale yellow handrolled cross X stitch is a masterpiece of subtle sophistication. Its earthy tones and delicate craftsmanship make it a versatile accessory that can effortlessly elevate both formal and casual outfits.
To style a light brown linen pocket square with pale yellow handrolled cross X stitch, start with a foundation of earthy or neutral tones in your suit or jacket. A medium to dark brown suit, olive green blazer, or navy blue sport coat would complement the pocket square beautifully. For a more casual look, consider a tan or khaki jacket.
For neckwear, opt for a tie that incorporates either the light brown or pale yellow tones. A striped or patterned tie featuring these colors would work well. Alternatively, a solid tie in a complementary color like forest green, burgundy, or navy blue could provide an elegant contrast.
Complete the look with brown leather shoes and belt to harmonize with the pocket square’s base color. For accessories, consider gold-toned cufflinks or a watch to complement the warm palette.
This versatile pocket square can transition seamlessly from formal to casual settings. For a more relaxed ensemble, pair it with a light brown or beige sport coat, khaki chinos, and a white Oxford shirt, forgoing the tie for a smart-casual appearance.

The Benefits of a Pocket Square
A pocket square beautifully adds an extra touch of sophistication and style to any ensemble. This small accessory provides a pop of color and texture to a suit, elevating the overall appearance with a sense of completeness.
The pocket square is also a symbol of attention to detail, showing that the wearer has taken the time to consider the finer points of their attire. When selected and folded properly, it enhances personal style and distinguishes a gentleman in any professional or social setting.
Care
Cleaning
To protect its hand-rolled edges, we recommend that you not fully immerse your pocket square in water to clean it. Instead, create a solution of tepid water and mild detergent and carefully spot clean any stains.
Should your pocket square require more thorough cleaning, you can take it to a dry cleaner that specializes in handling delicate accessories. Remind them to be careful when cleaning around the handrolled edges.
Storage
Because it is so lightweight, linen as a fabric is naturally very prone to wrinkling. To reduce unnecessary wrinkling, always remove your linen pocket square from your pocket after wearing it.
Lay it flat in a cool, dry location for a few hours to allow the material to naturally relax and to avoid setting in any wrinkles or creases.
Removing Wrinkles
To remove wrinkles, use a garment steamer set to hot to work out the wrinkles. You can also use an iron set to the Linen setting with a piece of cotton cloth between the linen and the iron.
Lightly sprinkling the underside of the pocket square with water will help relax wrinkles more quickly.
Be sure to only iron the center of the pocket square and do not run your iron over the edges, as it could ruin the effect of the hand-rolled edges by flattening them.
The Fabric of Pharaohs: Linen
Linen has been a mainstay of classic menswear for years and employed generally since the time of the ancient Egyptians, being valued for its unique texture, breathability, and soft hand. Fort Belvedere sources the linen for all of our accessories from a heritage Italian mill specializing in producing only the finest examples of this versatile and refined fabric.
Italian linen is crafted to withstand time, making it a durable fabric that can last for years, even with frequent use. With its natural sheen and ability to drape beautifully, Italian linen exudes an air of sophistication and refinement that enhances any setting.
Linen is also an environmentally friendly choice; being a natural fiber, it is biodegradable. Also, the flax plant, from which linen is made, requires less water than other crops to cultivate.
Contrary to common belief, linen is relatively easy to care for, being able to withstand spot cleaning as needed and requiring only a quick iron or steam to quickly eliminate wrinkles.
