Versatile Styling with an Elegant Edge
We have augmented our traditional white linen pocket square with sumptuous edge detailing in the form of handmade crochet work that is reminiscent of fine lace. Rendered in stately white, this detailing creates visual interest but does not adversely affect the formality of versatility of this pocket square, which can be dressed up or down as your ensemble necessitates.
For maximum versatility, this pocket square can always be folded in such a way as to obscure the embroidered detailing. In such circumstances, it functions exactly like a plain white linen pocket square. In most cases, however, we consider this a disservice to the absolutely astounding attention to detail and craft illustrated by its crocheted edging. In almost all cases, we suggest wearing this pocket square so that the edges are prominently on display, enticing all who see it with their refined tracery.

How to Style this Pocket Square
Utilizing unique and interesting folds imparts greater versatility, as well as debonair elegance, to your pocket square. Ensuring that your folds appear natural and unaffected will not only look more charming and nonchalant, but it will also be evident to others that you are not wearing a cheap, pre-folded pocket square.
For this particular pocket square, to accentuate the intricate crocheted border, we suggest that you opt for a fold that brings attention to its edges, such as the banker’s square or crown fold. Conversely, if you wish to draw focus to the white body of the pocket square, the puff fold is the ideal choice. Employing these folds allows the pocket square to serve a dual purpose, offering the versatility of two accessories in one.
Care
Cleaning
To protect its hand-rolled edges, we recommend that you not fully immerse your pocket square in water to clean it. Instead, create a solution of tepid water and mild detergent and carefully spot clean any stains.
Should your pocket square require more thorough cleaning, you can take it to a dry cleaner that specializes in handling delicate accessories. Remind them to be careful when cleaning around the handrolled edges.
Storage
Because it is so lightweight, linen as a fabric is naturally very prone to wrinkling. To reduce unnecessary wrinkling, always remove your linen pocket square from your pocket after wearing it.
Lay it flat in a cool, dry location for a few hours to allow the material to naturally relax and to avoid setting in any wrinkles or creases.
Removing Wrinkles
To remove wrinkles, use a garment steamer set to hot to work out the wrinkles. You can also use an iron set to the Linen setting with a piece of cotton cloth between the linen and the iron.
Lightly sprinkling the underside of the pocket square with water will help relax wrinkles more quickly.
Be sure to only iron the center of the pocket square and do not run your iron over the edges, as it could ruin the effect of the hand-rolled edges by flattening them.
The Fabric of Pharaohs: Linen
Linen has been a mainstay of classic menswear for years and employed generally since the time of the ancient Egyptians, being valued for its unique texture, breathability, and soft hand. Fort Belvedere sources the linen for all of our accessories from a heritage Italian mill specializing in producing only the finest examples of this versatile and refined fabric.
Italian linen is crafted to withstand time, making it a durable fabric that can last for years, even with frequent use. With its natural sheen and ability to drape beautifully, Italian linen exudes an air of sophistication and refinement that enhances any setting.
Linen is also an environmentally friendly choice; being a natural fiber, it is biodegradable. Also, the flax plant, from which linen is made, requires less water than other crops to cultivate.
Contrary to common belief, linen is relatively easy to care for, being able to withstand spot cleaning as needed and requiring only a quick iron or steam to quickly eliminate wrinkles.
