Look Cool While Staying Warm
Cool tones are some of the most elegant to style during the colder months, as they have a stately and refined appearance typical of plush, luxurious coziness. The purple, petrol blue, and light gray of this necktie was specifically selected to provide countless style opportunities.
In doing so, you’re embracing a palette that is both classic and striking. The key is to let the tie be the centerpiece of your ensemble by coordinating it with pieces that complement without competing for attention.
Start with a crisp white or light blue dress shirt; this is the canvas that allows your tie to truly pop. The simplicity of the base color will make the colors in the tie more vibrant.
A gray suit would create a harmonious balance with the light grey in the tie and provides a sophisticated backdrop for the purple and petrol blue stripes. Naturally, a blue suit would do the same with the blue or purple elements.
Incorporate a pocket square that echoes one of the colors in the tie without exactly matching it. A light grey pocket square can subtly connect with the light grey stripe in the tie, or choose a petrol blue one for a slightly bolder statement. Remember, the fold should be clean and not distract from the tie.
The goal is to create a balanced look where each piece complements the others. Your tie should be the focal point in most cases, so resist the temptation to introduce other bold patterns or colors that could clash or detract from its impact. Embrace the confidence that comes with wearing such a distinctive tie, and carry yourself knowing that you’ve crafted an ensemble that speaks volumes about your impeccable sense of style.

Decadently Blended Cashmere and Wool Woven into Resplendent Grenadine
Crafted by an exclusive Italian artisanal mill, this prestige fabric made from the perfect blend of cashmere and wool offers a luxurious combination of warmth, softness, and durability.
The wool provides a robust structure and resilience, ensuring the garment retains its shape and withstands wear over time.
Cashmere, known for its ultra-soft texture and insulating properties, adds a touch of opulence and comfort. Together, they create a fabric that is both practical for colder climates and indulgent to the touch.
Additionally, the expertise of Italian artisans guarantees meticulous attention to detail and high-quality craftsmanship, resulting in a premium product with a timeless appeal.
Authentic grenadine material necessitates the use of uniquely hand-twisted yarns and specific machinery capable of producing a gauze weave akin to that from a jacquard loom. Presently, only a select few mills possess the expertise and facilities necessary to craft this fabric.
We are delighted to have located one such mill in Italy, enabling us to offer grenadine of heirloom quality that surpasses the rarity and value of other printed or jacquard silks.
Sized To Fit You
Almost all retailers sell their ties as one-size-fits-all. A handful offer neckties that are either longer or shorter. At Fort Belvedere, we cater to the needs of every man, whether of modest, average, or above-average height, which is why we are proud to offer neckties in three distinct sizes.
The dimensions of our neckties are proportional to your height.
SHORT: For those who are 5’8” or 173 cm or shorter.
REGULAR: For those between 5’9″ or 175 cm and 6’2″ or 188 cm.
LONG: For those who are 6’3” or 190 cm or taller.
If you prefer to wear trousers with a higher rise and are in-between sizes, it may be better to size down so that the necktie does not fall below your waistband when tied.
Available Self-Tipped or Untipped
Based on size, some of our ties are Self-Tipped or Untipped.
Self-tipped ties have a lining as part of their tips. The overwhelming majority of tie makers use a less expensive fabric for the tip in a bid to save money, but doing so compromises on the look and the functionality of the tie. All self-tipped Fort Belvedere ties feature a generous piece of lining in the same fabric as the tie’s body for a consistent, quality-made look and feel that is in keeping with traditional self-tipped tie construction.
Fort Belvedere also offers untipped ties in which the tips are carefully hand-rolled for a beautiful look and secure finish that requires more skill to achieve than a self-tipped tie. Because they have less fabric, untipped ties are also lighter. Untipped ties were very popular in the 1930s, and as a tribute to the styling conventions of that era, Fort Belvedere untipped ties have a vintage flared end.
Please Note: Because this tie is handmade and is designed to be flexible, its final size can vary. As a general rule, our ties have a length tolerance of 1.5″ – 4 cm.
Care
Cleaning
Do not wash your wool-cashmere neckwear by submerging it in water, as doing so could damage the body of the accessory. Instead, when necessary, spot clean the item using the following steps.
Fill a basin with lukewarm water and add a small amount of gentle, wool-safe detergent.
Dab a clean towel into the solution and blot it gently against the stain on the neckwear until it is removed.
Dab the area dry with a dry, clean section of the towel.
Allow the accessory to air dry.
If the stain persists, take your neckwear to be cleaned at a reputable dry cleaner.
Storage
If you wear your wool-cashmere neckwear regularly, you can store it hanging loosely on a tie rack.
If, however, you do not intend to wear your neckwear for an extended period, store it flat or loosely folded to prevent the fabric from stretching.
Store your neckwear in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or harsh lighting to prevent fading.
Consider using breathable garment bags or a storage box with cedar balls to deter moths.
