Earthy Elegance
A refined combination of colors inspired by the cooler months, these socks are crafted from two yarns that subtly blend into a sophisticated two-tone effect. The interplay of shades creates depth and texture, making these socks an elegant complement to other brown and yellow shades but also any other earth tones.
How To Accessorize
These socks offer depth and texture for elegant coordination with brown or tobacco corduroy, moleskin, or flannel trousers paired with brown leather shoes or boots; olive, forest green, or navy cords or chinos alongside brown derbies or loafers; or even lighter stone/beige chinos and unlined loafers for year-round versatility.
Anchor your upper half with a tweed or textured sport coat featuring brown, green, or blue weaves over a light blue, cream, or off-white shirt, or opt for a chunky shawl-collar cardigan in camel, rust, or olive for casual warmth.
Accessorize cohesively with a brown leather belt and matching watch strap to unify from waist to ankle, echoing a secondary melange hue, like yellow, mustard, green, or muted blue, in a wool tie or pocket square; bolder dressers can let the socks ground colorful bottle green, mustard, or deep blue corduroy/flannel trousers while keeping shirts and ties restrained.
Perfect for fall and winter yet adaptable to summer, this timeless palette bridges classic warmth with understated style.

Truly Versatile Midweight Dress Socks
- Crafted from an Italian compacted yarn that is high-quality, tightly spun yarn that offers enhanced durability, reduced hairiness, and improved comfort compared to conventional cotton yarns.
- Compact spinning enhances yarn strength by 10–25%, so these socks can withstand more-frequent washing and wear.
- 40%+ heavier than our conventional shadow stripe dress socks.
- 82 grams fabric weight for true midweight durability without the bulkiness of a thick boot sock.
- Features melange yarns, made by dyeing fibers individually before spinning, a process that is more time-consuming and costly than producing yarn-dyed yarns, but results in a versatile material that includes multiple colors and is easier to color coordinate.
- Exceptional breathability thanks to the precisely aligned fibers that promote steady airflow to keep your feet cool, dry, and comfortable.
- Knitted using the artisanal vanisé technique, a method in which two yarns are knitted simultaneously to create a smooth, durable fabric that retains its shape, so small irregularities such as slight color lines or tiny dots may appear, representing the distinctive character of a handcrafted product rather than defects.
Superior Cotton Spinning
Crafted from Italian compact cotton yarn, these heavy shadow stripe socks embody the perfect union of strength, comfort, and sophisticated texture. Compact cotton is a superior, tightly spun yarn prized in fine hosiery for its durability, clarity, and smooth hand. Using a three-ply construction with a traditional ‘Z’ twist, it delivers exceptional tensile strength while maintaining an elegant drape and comfortable fit.
Vanisé Construction
Each pair is knitted using the artisanal vanisé technique, a specialized French method involving two yarns worked simultaneously. This creates a smoother, more resilient fabric and subtle variations in tone or minute irregularities—small color lines or dots that signal the authenticity of handcrafted artistry rather than imperfection. The result is a sock that feels as refined as it looks: durable, breathable, and beautifully made to complement the discerning wardrobe.
The Benefits of the Best Cotton
The compact spinning process enhances fiber alignment, resulting in a yarn with fewer loose ends and a cleaner surface: less fuzz, better stitch definition, and a silkier feel against the skin. Beyond refinement, this translates into tangible benefits: improved abrasion and pilling resistance, long-lasting softness, and reliable breathability that keeps feet comfortable throughout the seasons.
Genuine Midweight Fabric
Compared to our traditional shadow stripe socks, this heavier version offers a more substantial and plush wearing experience, being about 40% weightier. Yet they remain refined dress socks, not bulky boot socks, offering a balanced density that conveys quiet luxury.
Vibrantly Rich Colors
Many of the colorways feature melange yarns, where differently dyed fibers are spun together rather than simply dyed after weaving. This painstaking process creates nuanced, multidimensional hues that pair easily with a wider range of outfits and lend a distinctive sophistication to the pattern.
Five Sizes For Your Perfect Fit
These socks will shrink after washing, so do not be surprised if they appear large initially. After laundering, they will naturally shrink to achieve their intended fit.
If you’ve selected your size using our guide, you can expect an excellent fit once washed.
Fit preferences naturally vary, as some gentlemen favor a closer, more supportive feel, while others prefer a bit more ease. Our sizing assumes a balanced fit: comfortably snug without being restrictive.
When purchasing multiple pairs, we recommend washing and drying one pair first to ensure the fit aligns with your personal preference before laundering the rest.
How to Care For Your Socks
- Your socks arrive with a green tag attached. To remove it, simply pull on the loose green thread.
- Do not use a knife or scissors as you could accidentally damage the fabric.
- Initially, your socks may appear large or loose. They will shrink in the wash.
- Wash your socks either by hand or machine with appropriate detergent.
- The temperature should be Warm or 30°C -40°C / 86°F-104°F.
- Put them in a little wash bag so it’s easier to pair them afterwards and to avoid bruising the fabric.
- Ideally, you pull them in shape and you let them air dry.
- Why not put them in a dryer? Anything you put in the dryer will not last as long as it could if it was air-dried. Yes, we get it. It’s more convenient and our socks should be able to handle the dryer every once in a while, but if you want to get the most of your socks, do not dry them regularly.
- For best results, fully extend the socks and allow them to air dry.
